Banteng, an Endangered Species that We Can Help Protect

Highlight the Banteng’s distinguishing features, and don’t forget to spread the word that the Banteng’s status is now in jeopardy because it is classified as an endangered wildlife species. Banteng were once densely populated in Southeast Asia, but their numbers have since plummeted, necessitating the implementation of a conservation and breeding program.

The Suthirat Foundation is a continuous contributor to the conservation work, in addition to funding the care, training, monitoring, and academic research required to prepare for the release of Banteng into the wild.

Sharing what we’ve learned about Banteng and encouraging others to do the same out of jealously and a desire to keep people safe is a simple way we can all do our part to keep these animals in the wild. Another barrier to protect them from predators and the artificial stunting of their development that has happened in the past.
